How to Develop Business “Intuition.”

Published by kaya singer at 3:12 pm under Success

I have been blessed with a highly developed mental capacity. What this means is that my mind is usually working overtime and I can juggle a myriad of things all at once. I suppose this can be good, but it is also quite tiring at times and I just want my mind to shut down, take a nap or go on vacation. Funny that some of the best ideas and inspirations actually come from a whole different source, my intuition.  A friend recently told me that he thought my greatest  skill was my intuition. I was surprised and yet when I “think” about it, it’s true!

Ok- so today I am leaving for a vacation into the mountains and will have five glorious days sitting by a lovely lake in the forest. No internet access, no phone lines and a perfect environment to nurture my intuitive side. I am sure I will come back with all kinds of new  inspirations for my business.

What do you do to nurture your intuitive side and how does that help your business?

One of the ways I nurture my intuition to help my business is to open myself to the way of spirit guiding me on attracting all that is needed to be a tremendous success. This is different then my regular morning practice because I take in whatever nature surrounds me as part of process. If I am on the waterfront you will usually find me out walking at sunrise and praying on a much deeper and purer level. Also, I pay attention and listen to whatever comes through. In addition, feeling complete joy for the time off to connect with my spirit is like re-charging my battery it always brings forth an infusion of new ideas.

    Thanks Sheree

I really appreciate your sharing. I like what you say about “paying attention” to whatever comes through. I think this is a key. I know for me, my mind is so busy sometimes that I don’t pay close enough attention and I might miss the significance of something important. Kaya

A thought-provoking post, Kaya. I think that we live in such an information overload era that we forget to just get really still and listen to our hearts.

What Sheree said is so important. I write from a home office, on an island in Puget Sound. My morning walks just kind of clear all the clutter out. And the only Twitter (which I just joined, by the way ) comes from the bluejays and robins. It’s amazing what stuff my brain comes up with on those walks.

I also think my Morning Pages, which I write every day in a kind of stream-of-consciousness way, helps me nurture my intuitive side.

Your life sounds idyllic and makes me yearn for the days I lived in New Zealand by the ocean. Even then, my mind would get so busy that I had to remember to walk on the beach. It was on those walks that most of the real work got done. Good for you for having the discipline to do those morning pages. It’s a wonderful practice isn’t it. In fact, you have inspired me to do that again.

BY the way- I enjoyed your web page and your article about cliches! Thanks. Kaya

    Hi Kaya,

You invited me to make a comment. Here it goes:
There are energy tools that you can use to keep your energy contained, grounded and protected. This way you won’t waste an ounce of your bountiful energy, you won’t get it interfered or pulled out by people or objects around you, and you will be able to have a clear path and direct access to your intuition.

This is what I do. Let me know if you are interested in learning more:)

    Hi Figen

Thanks for the comment. I had a look at your website and yes- I agree that all the tools you offer make a huge difference. I use Feng Shui in my office and I know it helps support my work flow.
I have used EMT as well. I actually think that anything one can do to support greater access to intuition is beneficial. When you have work specifically with business owners who are needing to make important decisions, but are confused because of fears, what do you suggest that is the most powerful?

    <<>> Kaya

Whay tool you use is not as important as being able to connect.
You need to help them understand where it is coming from (for example it might be a solar plexus or heart issue) and show them a direction. I use EmoTrance, imagery and clairvoyant reading and healing techniques. Because it is all done in energy level and with their partcipation, you can’t do wrong.

Yes- connection is the key isn’t it. When I am in a fear place I feel disconnected from myself so it’s impossible to make a good decision. When I am centered I can connect with my own wisdom, intelligence and therefor, trust my decisions and how I am making them. Just getting out of my office and moving works for me. Sometimes I’ll hop on my bike and while I am pedaling I get a sense of clarity that comes through.

  9. Figen Gencoon 07 Sep 2008 at 2:35 pm

When you get on your bike, what actually happening is:

    1. You are moving the energy- think of stagnant water vs moving water
    2. You are away from your environment, so whatever triggers what state you are in is not in your environment anymore temporarily.
    3. You are close to the nature, so you are getting grounded without even trying.

By moving the energy, and getting rid of the blockages- interferences- by rterating and grounding; you finally get to the information which was always there- clarity.

YES! Same reason that when I am writing an article I get up and walk. It moves the energy and allows me to access information that’s been blocked.

I am having a flashback of going to school in the 50’s when were were meant to be glued to our desks and not move or wiggle. I always felt like I would explode. What a horrible way to teach kids how to block their creativity! Thanks for the discussion.

    Dear KAYA,

I am an intuitive person, and I wrote a book “Intuition, a Work Tool (Portuguese)

    I am sending an abstract.

    Thank you.

    Intuition, a work tool.

My proposal is the use of “Intuition” as a work tool within the company, I have been using this tool over the past 20 years in my professional life, which has received several achievements, including the development of products in the area of polypropylene compounds.

I believe that intuition used on the desktop (work area) can eliminate stages of research, save time and money, avoid the waste of raw material, money, and can help in decision making and of course is environmentally correct.

This tool can be used in life in alerting or pointing to which path to follow in times of need or doubt.

Regardless of the professional area of expertise, intuition helps everyone, because it is a channel of personal information, and always be current because it predates the progress.

My job is to alert the professionals, students and ordinary people so that they can be aware of this important channel, putting it into practice as soon as possible, thereby creating a new culture to this powerful tool to be recognized and used by a larger number of people.

By using intuition on a daily basis, and gaining the positive results over the past years, I decided to write a book on the subject (published in April 2008), also addressing the following points:

Function of the company, labor, virtues and defects, spirituality, management system, attitude, selection, coexistence, brain dominance, size, relative and absolute, intuitive experiences and conclusion.

In the work there are two reports of intuitive experiences which occurred within Lyondellbasell in Brazil.

The work has had great receptivity by the readers since it presents a simple and succinct language of the issues addressed.

    Regards,

PS. Since I am still developing my study of English, I feel the need for a Portuguese-English interpreter in the act of presenting my work.

    Hi Sergio

Thanks so much for writing and sharing. It still remember being in graduate school in counseling in 1982 and one of my teachers would not credit intuition as being a statistical form of information gathering because you could not validate it empirically. We as students were amazed that he was even teaching! I trust intuition way more than any other form of information. My intuition gets validated all the time. I would enjoy reading your book.

    Hi Kaya!

    Grateful for the return.

About my book it has a small problem, the book is edited only in Portuguese, not yet I have a version translated into the English, if you have some friend that can help it, I will send one for you.
I use to advantage this moment where the world is in crisis to speak that: “It is with crises that the world grows up”, in such a way we must have the attitude to use to advantage the crisis to grow up instead of crying.
Here in the Brazil it has an excellent phrase: “while some cry, others use to advantage to sell handkerchiefs”.
The intuition does not go to decide the problems, but this is the better moment them people to use it, therefore with good ideas they will be able to decide the difficulties.
    It follows aid tips:
    - Thinks about your necessities or challenges, goes until some place that you if feel in peace, asked for to the optimum God way to follow.
    - Leaves the side reason, this only confuses, frees the mind leaving to walk for the ways that it to want, all new thing is born of a way begins it illogical.
    - The heart softens and the honest spirit and either obtain.
    - Its necessity will be of merit character, that is, something really and morally important, probably will receive in its mind some useful information so that it can have the exit or route of the situation.
    - However, be analytical and cautious, therefore not everything that sees the mind is optimum, therefore the state of spirit and merit are important.
    - Let the heart after perceives to take some decision, if the heart will be calm will be better way to follow.
    - - Our moral is key for the good things that can come. Pure logic.

Probably this is a tool will be able to help, but, without our effort, courage, and attitude in the good, will be citizens to the negative effect of the crisis.
    Good luck for all.
    Sergio.

    Love you to each other

Love you to each other and the whole mechanism works perfectly ground.
It is larger than the construction, both, economic, social, psychological or material, every base is rooted in the feeling inside of the human being.
Everything that exists outside of construction is the natural expression of individual materialized, and family or society, in short, we give direction to the world what we must.

Every complex structure is made of parts very small and simple.
All functional structure complex will most likely to break up when we look at the complex and we forget the small parties.
The more solid structure that will be composed of wise administration of simplicity, making the structure simple functional as well.

We human beings have the usual sad to complicate the simple. The complicating factor is in our imperfections (selfishness, pride, vanity, etc.)..

If there is a cold and deep analysis of this critical moment, of course we see that the causes are cited in previous, ie build a global structure from different points (structure of each government), based poorly (moral) and complicated the same.

We want to take shortcuts to progress and development, and this illusory action, we learn from the lessons it teaches the correct path.

Life is math, we can not achieve positive results if the basis is not too positive. But one can question saying that “no more negative will have a positive outcome,” it will be correct, however, the negative “1″ will be our mistakes, and negative “2″ are the pains we have to go, and of course all the result of pain will be a positive learning.

The financial crisis today is not only linked to economic values, but is closely linked to moral values, which is the starting point of everything.
The moral value of each course will give the goal to be achieved.

As the chaos is only a stage of all, and any imbalance tends to balance, this crisis will also, I hope that this negative factor is offset by the negative of pain, and that this gives the positive outcome of learning.

That in the near future we can work with “positive more positive.”

Diving at the heart of the crisis, for more intelligent, informed and knowledgeable of the subject, almost nobody predicted this.
The reason is that when working with projection of facts and trends, can be achieved expected results, but as the progress of things is always out of total control, always have unpredictable elements that alter the forecast.
Only those with a sharp inner perception (intuition, inspiration) and give credit to this, they may presage or predict such events.
Thus we must not take law as what is expected by reason and knowledge that the situation will only worsen, but pay attention to the interior of the human being who understands the sensitivity and analysis of the reason.
Believe in optimism or pessimism calculated only for the reason is not the best deal.

In my sober awareness of the potential market for people, feel that the situation returns to normal when we have the courage to believe in growth, that the simple fact that “all part of our interior to become achievement.”
