It is time to expose one of the most destructive myths in business; "its a dog-eat-dog world."

Dog-eat-dog describes a world in which people have to fight for themselves without support and will hurt other people because they assume other people will hurt them, Example: "I have been in this business for twenty years. It's dog-eat-dog. If I don't watch out my competition will steal my customers."

This myth is a destructive mind-set.It is built only on fear and says you need to be selfish and defended to succeed. This is one of those myths that permeate into your unconscious because you have heard the phrase so often. Like many negative myths, it can turn into a mental block and can stop you dead in your tracks.

When you feel that dog-eat-dog way it is constricting down to your bones and that distrust and defensive nature oozes into all your decisions and the way you operate. It is hard to feel trusting of a new person or product because a small part of you just doesn't know.

One of my favorite writers, Richard Bach wrote a small book called "Illusions" some years ago. He said there are actually six billion different worlds, not just one. What a relief that you can create your own world and your own ways you want to operate. If you are still reading this far I know you want to do business in a new way and you want to trust people and be giving and open. You want to believe there are plenty of customers for everyone and that people care and really want to help you.

Every successful business person seeks help, not out of fear. but out of a genuine desire to move past those mental blocks, learn more and benefit from someone who can offer support, clarity and resources. I am constantly grateful for the mentors and support people who have helped me to move past my limiting  blocks.
