My own story
My fear was focused around money! I kept making poor money decisions and then woke up one day and realized no matter what I did, it wouldn’t work until I looked at the deeper issues.
Here is an example of my old self-talk. “What if I borrowed all the money I needed to get my business going… and then I failed?”
That fear stopped me. Right in that moment I realized that if I stayed where I was, I was already failing, so it was time to take a risk and change. I needed to become a real leader!
That meant learning how to take smart risks and go for it. It meant stepping into real leadership boots! It meant getting help and pushing past self-doubt. If I could do it- you can too!
I interviewed over 100 women who had started their own business; all highly skilled professionals, with advanced degrees, years of experience and experts in their field. They have written books, created, facilitated and helped many people but still felt held back.
I asked them these two questions:
